It is almost final that on the next day of 82 birthday of Kannada cinema (it is March 3) -4th of March ‘Re…’ of excellent director of Kannada cinema Sunil Kumar Desai film is set for release. The film is yet to get the censor. There are no qualms in announcing the date of release according to censor guidelines.

A film packed for entire family ‘Re’…as Ramesh Aravind puts it as a nice conversation you have on ‘Dining Table’ with family members – such a feel good factor is possible without doubt from ‘Re’. Desai has taken more than two years in arriving at his concept. This is made in one year and the derivation of Desai is not seen in the Indian cinema is Ramesh Aravind admission.


At The Bell Hotel – Producer of ‘Re…. of Sujana Creations R Lokesh, Ramesh Aravind, Lokanath, Shivaramanna, GK Govinda Rao, Harshika Poonacha, Sumana, Prashanth, Beedi Satisha, GS Bhasker joined the stage with Desai to address the media.


Ramesh Aravind is a fully confident person on the contents of ‘Re’. The strong base for this film is not touched by anyone. GS Bhasker ace cameraman says Desai is like Alfred Hitchcock of Indian cinema. Harshika Poonachcha feels this is her first film and thanked for Desai for teaching so many things everyday of shoot. Sumana debutant says everything is in right position, there is elegance, beauty and level of this film is unique she puts up on ‘Re’.


Veteran Lokanath of 90 years with 55 years of acting career says he has not seen this kind of cinema. I am aware of the script but not ready to disclose it he says. The style of shooting with Lokanath is what surprised. 16 characters converse with Lokanath. The shoot was held alone, Lokanath remembers. Kannada audience should save producer like R Lokesh ‘Dayavittu Kai Bidabedi’ was humble request of Uppinakaayi uncle Lokanath.


For Shivaramanna, Desai looks like split personality. He is so involved on sets and off sets he is cool thinker. Shivaramanna plays Sanskrit professor who is against to his son in the film Ananthnag.

Govinda Rao considered as stormy petrel mentioned that Desai is genius long ago. He recollected it again and said he is a ‘Restless Genius’. This is a film with wide dimensions. Media should catch it and support pointed Rao.


I am a second hero pointed Beedi Satish that evoked laughter. No, I come in screen for seconds, but in Re…Desai sir has given me minutes stated humor lover and RJ too Beedi Satish. Prashanth a software guy in the film is behind ‘Water’ was also present at the media meet.

The clips of ‘Re…and a song was also screened. The wait for Ananthnag to return from a function at Leela Palace was too much. Media had left around 9 pm.

Producer Lokesh thanked for combination of new and old actors in ‘Re’. He urged Kannada Janathe to watch the film and support his future films.

The translated version of Rudyard Kipling ‘If’ theory from Ramesh Aravind was also screened and that was nothing but ‘ifs and buts’.

 

‘YASHOGATHE’ OF JAKKAMMA


It is Kuppam ‘Jakkamma’ findings the food for the script of ‘Yashogathe’. The film is set in the pre independence period by Moksha Films Hari Sudan Tiwari as producer and Vinod J Raj as director.

Not finding right producer the friends of over a decade Tiwari and Vinod came forward to invest on own. It is shot in 27 days for Yashogathe. In Kuppam railway station Vinod heard the story that looked very mysterious for him. He took two years to develop it and mix horror element.  He was supported by his friend Hari Tiwari. The new perspective to the tale of ‘Jakkamma’ is ready for release.


Manasa Joshi plays both silent and violent role. A film with freedom movement and women is seen less. This is one such film compelled Manasa Joshi to accept. How a woman manages various ups and downs? This is one such film that has given immense satisfaction for Manasa Joshi.


Pavithra Belliyappa plays a matured role and how she reacts to situation is impeccable. Vinod is also cameraman of this film.


Lohit Surya as cheluvanarayana Bhatta is a mischief and mystery filled actor. Five and half years girl Twisha Adapa Tandur is also in one of the roles.


Roshani Dinakar with over 15 years experience in costume designing has worked for this film.
